PURPOSE:To enhance the sealing ability between a rotor and a housing, by subjecting the outer peripheral surface of a bead section which is formed in the housing of a Vunkel type rotary piston compressor to a dimple machining process. CONSTITUTION:A predetermined number of dimples 39 are formed in the outer peripheral surface of a bead section 17 in the housing 11 of a Vunkel type rotary compressor. These dimples exhibits a labyrinth effect between themselves and the outer peripheral surface of a rotor 33. Accordingly, the sealing ability between the outer peripheral surface of the compression chamber is further enhanced, thereby the efficiency of compression may be enhanced.
