PURPOSE:To facilitate waste heat treatment, to prevent the noise of a blower and to prolong the life of a photosensitive body, by sucking hot air generated in a fixing apparatus and ozone generated in a machine body into the exhaust duct provided to the upper part of the fixing apparatus and mixing both of them to thermally decompose ozone. CONSTITUTION:In an electronic copier, a part of ozone generated from the corotron 20 provided to one outer periphery of a photosensitive body 2 is exhausted from an exhaust duct 6 and an exhaust port 5 through an ozone decomposing filter 9. The remainder of said ozone is sucked into the exhaust duct 12 provided to the upper part of the fixing apparatus 3 from a suction port 15 by a cross flow fan 14 along with hot air generated by the heat roll of the fixing apparatus 3 and, at this time, ozone mixed in hot air is thermally decomposed. Further, the residual ozone is again decomposed by the ozone decomposing filter 17 attached to the suction port 15 and clean air is exhausted from the exhaust duct 12 and the exhaust port 13. |
