ENDOSCOPE INCORPORATING SOLID-STATE IMAGE PICKUP DEVICE

PURPOSE:To improve the reliability by forming a front end part with a front end part body connected to the endoscope body side and a front end adapter set freely attachably and detachably to the front end part body and attaching a solid-state image pickup device to the front end part body. CONSTITUTION:A front end part 8 consists of a front end part body 8A fixed to the front edge of an endoscope inserting part 2 and a front end adapter 8B set freely attachably and detachably to the front edge of the front end body 8A. A solid-state image pickup device 21 is attached not to the side of the front end adapter 8B of the attaching and detaching side but to the side of the front end part body 8A which is shared always in the fixed state. Consequently, electric connection means are unnecessary in the attachable and detachable connection part to realize the connection part with a simple structure, and electric contact defects do not occur to improve the reliability.
