PURPOSE:To make improvements in both steering and driving characteristics, by supporting a steering wheel support member to be attached to a car body free of rocking motion in a vertical manner via a hydraulic car-level controlling mechanism, while controlling the said mechanism according to a car speed. CONSTITUTION:An upper end 3a of a wheel support 3 supporting a steering wheel 2 free of rotation is supported on a car body 1 via a car-level controlling cylinder 10, while the lower end 3b is supported on a frame 1a unified with the car body 1 via a vertically rocakable suspension arm 4. And, when a car speed to be detected by a car speed sensor 41 is less than the setting car speed Vo, output of a comparator 43 is an L level and since relays are off, a selector valve 24 is controlled in conformity with each output of a car-level sensor 31 and Ll and Lh signalers 35 and 37 and thereby the car level is set within a range L from Ll to Lh. On the other hand, when the car speed goes beyond the setting car speed Vo, the car speed is set within a range H(<L) from Hl to Hh likewise with these relays 39 and 40 turned to ON. |
