<p>PURPOSE:To prevent curling and enhance durability in printing, by laminating a metallic foil on either side or both sides of a sheet formed from a compounded polyolefin material obtained by mixing a polyolefin resin with a specified amount of an inorganic filler. CONSTITUTION:The compounded polyolefin material is prepared by mixing 100pts.wt. of a polyolefin resin with 5-150pts.wt. of an inorganic filler. The polyolefin compound material is formed into a sheet, and a metallic foil is laminated on either one side or both sides of the sheet either directly or through an adhesive to obtain a base for a planographic plate. The polyolefin resin is preferably a modified polyolefin resin partially or entirely grafted by a compound having a polar group. The inorganic filler may be talc, calcium carbonate, mica or the like, and is preferably mica or talc having an average particle diameter of 0.5-50mum.</p> |
