CONTROL SYSTEM FOR TONE DESIGNATION OF INCOMING TERMINAL

PURPOSE:To attain the tone designation according to the type of the tone and to discriminate easily the identity of an originating terminal that is previously arranged, by setting an incoming number and the tone designation information through the originating terminal and discriminating the tone designation information through a terminal controller to transmit it to a terminal in the form of a ringing tone. CONSTITUTION:When an originating terminal designates a tone and delivers a call, a main controller CPU extracts the tone designation information out of the control signal received via a D channel and decides whether this tone designation information is equal to that registered in a tone designation information area TR of a main memory MEM. If the coincidence is obtained between both information, the tone codes corresponding to the tone designation information are read out of a tone code table TBL of the MEM. These codes are transferred to a tone generating circuit TNG. The circuit TNG supplies the signals corresponding to the tone codes to a sounder SD to produce ringing tones.
