The present invention relates to an apparatus wherewith the milking and automatic dispensing of feed in a sheep farm may be combined together. The apparatus, positioned vertically over a trough 5, comprises two horizontal rails 9 fixed to the beams 10 of a ceiling, there being suspended from the said rails, on the one hand, an overhead support 14 which carries the milking components and, on the other hand, two tubes 21 which support a feed hopper 22.
