PURPOSE:To provide a rolling mill which improves the performance to control the shape of a rolling material and improves the sectional shape thereof by providing intermediate rolls consisting of plural divided rolls which can attach and detach respectively independently to and from work rolls and backup rolls to the front and rear of a rolling down line. CONSTITUTION:Intermediate rolls 6, 7, 8, 9 are disposed between work rolls 1, 2 and backup rolls 3, 4 of a rolling mill to the front and rear with a rolling down line l as a reference. Such intermediate rolls are divided in the axial line direction to form plural divided rolls 6a.... The rolls 6a... are actuated by fluid pressure cylinders 10, 11, 12, 13 so that the rolls can attach and detach respectively independently to and from the rolls 1, 2 and the rolls 3, 4. A rolling material is thereby rolled while the profile of the rolls 1, 2 is controlled according to the width of said material, by which the product having a good sectional shape without edge drop is obtd. |
