PURPOSE:To always provide preferable operating characteristic by coupling 3- phase windings in delta-connection at an inverter drive time, and coupling the windings in Y-connection when directly driving with a commercial power source. CONSTITUTION:When delta-Y switching contact 15 is switched to delta-connection side in an inverter drive motor, the 3-phase windings 14 of a motor 13 are coupled in delta-connection with 3-phase AC power source 11 through an inverter 12, and the windings 14 are energized by rectangular 3-phase currents from an inverter 19. If the inverter 12 becomes defective, the contact 15 is switched to convert the windings 14 of the motor 12 to Y-connection, and the commercial power of the power source 11 is connected directly with the windings 14 of the motor 13. |
