PURPOSE:To fit a degaussing coil along the funnel plane even for a cathode ray tube having square corners by clipping the degaussing coil between a cathode ray retaining piece and a flat plate so as to fit the degaussing coil. CONSTITUTION:A hole 12 is provided at the center and a flat plate 11 whose bore diameter (b) is smaller than the outermost diameter (a) of a bolt 4 is provided and the plate 11 is locked to the bolt 4 by utilizing the hole 12. The degaussing coil 1 is clipped between the mounting ear piece 3 of the cathode ray tube 2 and the flat plate 11 so as to fit the degaussing coil to the cathode ray tube 2. Thus, even when any shape of the cathode ray tube 2 is used, the degaussing coil 1 is fitted along the funnel plane and the degaussing effect is not deteriorated.
