In article conveying devices whose conveying track contains curve sections, the curve guides for the conveyed material generally cause problems in respect of safe guiding functions and in respect of the simple and strong construction to be aimed at. For a solution to the problem which is progressive in this respect, a lateral guide (SF) is provided on the inside of the curve of the conveying track (FB) and a guide or drive belt (FAB) extending substantially along this lateral guide is provided on the outside of the curve, this belt being under prestress and hence resiliently pressed into contact with the lateral guide. The articles (SG) arriving in the curve along the conveying track pass into the region between the lateral guide (SF) and the belt (FAB) and are reliably held against the lateral guide in a resilient manner, that is to say within certain limits independently of possibly different dimensions and, if appropriate, with a positive-fitting drive effect. <IMAGE>
