Collapsible containers are widely used in the transport sector for transporting goods of all types and in civilian and military organisations as living quarters or auxiliary accommodation. This design constitutes an extension of the International Container System. The main advantage of this design is its ability to collapse completely without loose parts and technical and economic benefits when transporting empty containers. The outer dimensions of five containers which have been collapsed correspond to those of one erect container. These containers have very simple design principles and can be produced from plastics, metal or materials similar to wood. Only a small number of production apparatuses are required in mass production. Simple maintenance and repair, if necessary also using replacement parts, is possible. This container, developed as a container conforming with ISO, can be transported by conventional transporting means and by special container vehicles. <IMAGE>
