PURPOSE:To make a specified degree of humidifying of dust by a method wherein a metering unit for temporarily accumulating some dusts dropped from the above feeder and metering them is arranged and some dusts fed into a unit for adding water and agitating it is made as a quantitative volume. CONSTITUTION:Some dusts fed by a collecting conveyor 1 or the like and dropped into a metering unit 4 at a dust inlet port 2 are accumulated at a lower damper 15 within the metering unit 4. When a volume of accumulated dusts reaches a desired value, a cylinder mechanism 17 is operated by dropping of a body 6 supported by a balanced weight system, resulting in that a damper 15 is rotated downwardly, the accumulated and specified volume of dusts is dropped downwardly and fed, i.e. metered and fed out and then dropped into the lower mixing machine 22. When the volume of dusts in the mixing machine 22 reaches a desired value, water is supplied to an injection nozzle 26, a predetermined volume of water is injected in response to the volume of dusts and at the same time they are agitated and mixed by an agitating member 28 for a proper period of time.
