PURPOSE:To obtain an electrophotographic photosensitive body having high durability by cleaning the surface part of a supporting body from which a photoconductive layer is separated by a cleaning tape containing a solution for resolving the coupling agent of the photoconductive layer. CONSTITUTION:The cleaning tape 11 in which a treatment solvent is impregnated by the action of an air cylinder 12 is pressed against a photoconductive layer separating part 1a of the electrophotographic photosensitive body A to be rotated while being supported by a chuck 9. Therefore, the surface of the photoconductive layer separating part 1a is cleaned up by pressing the cleaning tape 11 impregnated with the treatment solvent against the phtoconductive layer separating part 1a of the rotated photosensitive body A, so that the supporting body surface part from which the coupling resin is completely removed is obtained and the adhering intensity of an insulating layer to the part in a post process is improved. |
