PURPOSE:To realize a magnetic disc device with high track density and large capacity by utilizing a sector servo region per one circulation so as to attain off- track correction between a servo head and a data head. CONSTITUTION:The data head 6 reads a sector position signal B in a servo region 9, gives an output to a sector position detection circuit 10, reads a track number signal A and outputs it to a track address timing detecting circuit 11. When a timing signal F is turned on, the output of an A/D converter 13 is stored by an address signal D and when the signal F is turned off, the signal D outputs an off-track data E stored in a RAM15. An output signal E of the RAM15 is a digital value of off-track amount between the servo head 5 and the data head 6 in the object track position at the track following mode and converted into an analog voltage by a D/A converter 16. Then the signal is added with a servo position signal outputted from a servo position detection circuit 17 at an adder 18 so as to attain a position signal for off-track correction. |
