PURPOSE:To attain an adhesive strength measuring method applied to a magnetic recording medium, which is thin and has high adhesive strength to a base, such as the B.C layer of a magnetic tape or the magnetic layer of a floppy disc by adhering a face in the sample layer side and the opposite face of the magnetic recording medium, which consists of two layers at least, to chuck jigs respectively with an adhesive hardening resin and hardening the resin and pulling and peeling a part of the sample layer to measure the adhesive strength between both layers. CONSTITUTION:10wt% hardner is added to an epoxy resin, and they are mixed sufficiently and are charged into an adhesive holder 1, and the surface is scraped off, and the holder 1 is reversed and is brought into contact with a sample face 3 and is made still. The whole of them is adhered onto a cover glass 5 by the same adhesive 2, and the adhesive is hardened at a normal temperature for >=20hr. After hardening and adhesion are completed, they are set to a tensile test machine and are fixed by upper and lower chucks, and measurement is performed in 100mm./min tensile speed. Thus, samples whose adhesive strength cannot be evaluated conventionally are measured, and production of samples is easy, and the reproducibility is good, and therefore, this method is very useful.
