PURPOSE:To make an injection pipe feeding the high-pressure fuel unnecessary and reduce the corrosion due to secondary injection and cavitation by connecting an actuator actuated upon receipt of a signal concerning the injection quantity to the piston a fuel injection unit made by combining a fuel pressurization section and an injection nozzle in one body. CONSTITUTION:When a piston is moved to the right, the pressure in a fuel pressurization chamber 14 is increased, a check valve 21 is closed, the high-pressure fuel in the fuel pressurization chamber 14 is fed to a fuel reservoir chamber 19 via a fuel pressurization passage 18, and the fuel is injected into the cylinder of an internal-combustion engine through an injection nozzle 33. When the piston 12 is moved to the left, the pressure in the fuel pressurization chamber 14 is decreased, the check valve 21 is opened, and the fuel is sucked from a low-pressure fuel passage 15 to the pressurization chamber 14 via a fuel intake passage 20. The stroke in response to the rotation status of the internal-combustion engine and the start and end positions of this stroke are fed to a force transmission means 6 via an actuator, and the means 6 transmits the mechanical energy of fuel injection, injection quantity, and injection timing to the piston 12. |
