PURPOSE:To grind the right angle with high accuracy, form streaks on the whole finished surface, and make smooth for air to escape from a product to be used as a mold, by grinding the top surface and the whole side surface of a workpiece with one work set, in a multiple surface grinder. CONSTITUTION:A table 3 and a column 5 are provided on a frame head 1, and a turn table 7 on which a workpiece 6 is fixed while which turns freely indexingly around the vertical axis, is provided on the table 3. A wheel spindle head 11 is provided on the column 5, and a wheel spindle 13 having an inclination angle of 45 deg. to the horizontal, is provided on the wheel spindle head 11. And, a grinding wheel 14 is fixedly installed on the end part of the wheel spindle 13. Grinding surfaces 15, 16, whose center parts are projecting at an angle of 90 deg., are formed on the periphery of the grinding wheel 14. One grinding surface 15 has the lowest part 17 which is the grinding part for the top surface of the workpiece 6, and the other grinding surface 16 has a this-side part 18 which is the grinding part for the side surface of the workpiece 6. |
