The protector plate is fitted directly adjacent to an upper vertical groove (4) in an outwardly moving door panel, and has a length greater than the vertical extent of the lock. The protector plate also has a width suitable for covering a gap (7) between the door frame and the upper groove. The protector plate eliminates the space in the vicinity of the gap (7) which otherwise enables a break-in tool to be inserted. |
