PURPOSE:To prevent the malfunction due to the emission of a flash device when charging of another flash device is not completed, by setting the state, where light emission is possible, when charging of all connected flash devices is completed. CONSTITUTION:When flash devices I -III emit light, low-level signals are outputted from devices I -III for a certain period, and high-level signals are outputted for a certain period thereafter, and low-level signals are outputted again for a certain period required for successive full light emission of two lamps. Except data transmission and reception and light emission, high-level signals are outputted when charging of devices I -III is completed, and low-level signals are outputted if charging is not completed. Low, high, and low-level signals at the light emission time are used as signals for controlling the quantity of emitted light. Synchronizing clock pulses from a terminal SCK used for data transmission and reception among a camera body V, devices I -III, and a flsh controller IV are outputted to a line l3 from the body V, and a signal indicating the operation state of the body V is outputted from a terminal O5 to the line l3 also, and a control circuit FST outputs a light emission stop signal during light emission. |
