PURPOSE:To enhance slipping characteristics without adversely affecting photographic characteristics by incorporating a graft copolymer contg. silicone units in the surface layer of a photosensitive material having a photographic emulsion layer. CONSTITUTION:An intended photosensitive material is obtained by forming at least one photographic emulsion layer on a support and incorporating a graft copolymer contg. silicone units in at least one layer of surface layers. A polymer usable as the silicone graft copolymer is composed of a component having silicone units effective as modification of slipping property of the surface of a photographic film, scratch resistance, etc., and a component having affinity to a polymer used as the binder of the photographic constituent layer, such as gelatin, embodied by formulae I (X:Y=92:8, l=40) and II (X:Y=90:10, l=10), etc. |
