PURPOSE:To obtain the small-sized optical head device which obtains high drive sensitivity with low power consumption and also has excellent oscillation characteristics by providing a magnet to a movable body and a coil which controls and displaces the movable body to a support, and controlling the displacement of the movable body from the support on movable magnet basis. CONSTITUTION:A displacement control part 21 has a bobbin 43 wound with a coil for controlling the displacement of the movable body 19 and a tracking coil 45 and a focusing coil 47 which are wound around the bobbin 43 in a cross shape opposite to the magnet 25. The tracking coil 45 is wound rectangularly having its winding plane perpendicular to a tracking direction. Consequently, when a current is flowed through the tracking coil 45, a force in the tracking direction is generated to the magnet 25 of the movable body 19 according to the Fleming's right-hand rule and then the movable body 19 is displaced in the tracking direction. Similarly, when the current is flowed through the focusing coil 47, a force is generated in the focusing direction to the magnet 25 of the movable body 19 and the movable body 19 is displaced in the focusing direction. |
