PURPOSE:To drop old leaves carrying the eggs of vermin, to effect the breakage of dormancy of bud and the promotion of sprouting, and to increase the yield, by applying the supernatant liquid of leached lime nitrogen, etc. having a specific concentration to tea tree in winter afrer the hervest. CONSTITUTION:Supernatant liquid of leached lime nitrogen or an aqueous solution of cyanamide useful as an agricultural chemical or fertilizer and having herbicidal, fungicidal and insecticidal activities is applied at a specific concentration to tea trees in winter after hervest. The cyanamide can be synthesized by treating lime nitrogen with an acid, and has similar properties to the supernatant liquid of leached lime nitrogen. The stock solution can be prepared by dissolving 40kg of lime nitrogen in 200l of water, stirring the solution at 30-35 deg.C for 2hr, leaving to stand for 2hr, and collecting the supernatant liquid. It is applied to the tree by diluting 5-10 odd times. EFFECT:The influence of the disinfectant liquid applied to the tree and accumulated in the leave during the former cultivation season can be prevented by the fall of the old leaves. The sprouting is promoted by 1-2hr, the frost injury in April or early May can be prevented, and the picking time can be advanced.
