PURPOSE:To observe a solid image by use of looking glasses having different polarizing characteristics by providing two electron guns respectively correspond ing to each proper color, a shadow mask and polarizing filters having polarizing characteristics different from each other provided in the display side of the irradiated position on a fluorescent face. CONSTITUTION:A solid image display device is formed of two electron guns 1, 2 respectively corresponding to each proper, color a shadow mask 3 for radiating electron beams from the electron guns to a fluorescent face 5 and polarizing filters 6a, 6b having polarizing characteristics different from each other provided in the display side of the positions on the fluorescent face 5 irradiated by the electron beam passing through identical holes 4 of the shadow mask 3. An image for the right eye is formed by one electron gun, an image for the left eye is formed by the other electron gun and they are displayed on the cathode-ray tube at the same time through the polarization filters 6a, 6b to observe the solid image by using the polarization looking glasses. Thereby, a good solid image without any flicker can be displayed. |
