摘要 PURPOSE:To reduce the load of the primary steam reforming stage and to increase the efficiency by introducing an excess of air into the secondary steam reforming stage, and regulating the nitrogen content by mixing the reacted gas which is removed from nitrogen into the gas. CONSTITUTION:An excess of air is introduced into the secondary steam reforming stage to convert a large amt. of methane, and consequently the load of the primary steam reforming stage which is externally heated at high temps. and pressure is reduced. The cost of fuel, power, and equipment is reduced in this way, and the efficiency can be increased. After the carbon oxides in the formed gas are removed, the reacted gas from an adsorption separator wherein the nitrogen is removed along with the nonreactive gas is mixed into said formed gas to regulate the nitrogen content which is made excess due to the introduction of excess air. The nitrogen to hydrogen ratio in the gas is stoichiometrically adjusted in this way, and ammonia is produced by using the gas as the ammonia synthesis gas.
