PURPOSE:To avoid necessity to hold plural cards and to eliminate troublesome card handling and card storage by providing a memory area for storing transaction data of plural financial organs in an IC card, and by transferring to a terminal device only the transaction data of the financial organ selected in response to a financial organ selecting signal from the terminal device. CONSTITUTION:A CPU2 discriminates whether or not a command received from a terminal device through an I/O port 1 is a header-table request command. If said command is the header-table request command, the CPU2 transmits only the header-table request command stored in an ROM3 to the terminal device through the I/O port 1, but if the command is not the request command, the CPU2 discontinues. At this moment, since other detailed transaction data such as account numbers are not transmitted to the terminal device, each of such transaction data is maintained under a confidential condition with respect to the terminal device. A customer looks at the header table received or a name of the financial organ, selects the financial organ which he wishes to make transactions with, and inputs detailed transaction data such as the account number of the selected financial organ. Thereafter, the procedure is the same as in the normal cash card. |
