<p>PURPOSE:To narrow a range of recognized candidate KANJIs (Chinese character) approximating to the desired one even when there are many homonyms and to discriminate and output easily the desired KANJI by inputting the pronunciation of KANJI and its components. CONSTITUTION:The pronunciation, the left-hand radical and the right-hand radical of KANJI are encoded and inputted by a keyboard unit KU. The pronunciation of the desired KANJI is searched from a KANJI pronunciation index file of a disk 4. Since a pronunciation index pointer 9 linked with a KANJI pronunciation dictionary is added to the index of the pronunciation, a character corresponding to the pronunciation is retrieved. The KANJI pronunciation dictionary has encoded components such as the left-hand radical, the right-hand radical and the crown part of KANJI, and the top pointer of the block is loaded to the top of the dictionary; therefore the desired KANJI can be easily discriminated by tracking the pointer.</p> |
