<p>PURPOSE:To reduce cursor operating load by specifying a character range from the left end of a display line to a cursor position or from the cursor position to the right end of the display line. CONSTITUTION:When a range specification key is depressed, a cursor control means 22 is actuated in accordance with the input of a cursor moving key, the contents CA of an address register 33 is increased/decreased in accordance with the moving direction and a cursor K on a screen of an LCD4 is moved. When a left scroll key is depressed, a character address to be displayed on the right end of the screen is an address obtained by adding the contents CA of the register 33 to an address DS because the address DS of the character to be display on the left end of the screen out of a composition file 31 is stored in an address register 32. A display control circuit 5 always reads out characters to be displayed from the left end to the right end out of the composition file 31 in accordance with the contents of the address register 32 and displays the read-out characters on the LCD4.</p> |
