PURPOSE:To prevent the accumulation of errors generated in a memory by detecting and correcting an error at the reading of data. CONSTITUTION:A prescribed address in a RAM26 is selected on the basis of an address signal supplied through an address bus 102 and stored data are applied to read-only error detecting/correcting circuit (EDC)30. A check code assigned to the data is read out from a RAM24 and supplied to the EDC30. The EDC30 detects and corrects an error on the basis of the data and the check code and supplies the corrected data to buffers 28, 29. The buffers 28, 29 send the corrected data to a parallel connection between buffers 22 and 25 and to a buffer 21. |
