PURPOSE:To attain early countermeature to a fault by providing a detection/display function to a connector part to inform a faulty state such as disconnection of a connector or power failure of equipment to an opposite device. CONSTITUTION:Although no information is fed to an opposite microprocessor MPU2 because a microprocessor MPU1 is stopped if a power supply section PW1 is disconnected, a power supply supervisory section 34 and a check section 32 are activated while receiving power supply from a small sized battery 36, then the check section 32 transmits a power failure signal via a signal line 44, a check section 33 supplies a reset signal to the microprocessor MPU2 by using the received power failure signal to make the received data ineffective. Since the output voltages of power supply sections PW1, PW2 are not fed to power supply supervisory sections 34, 35 if a cable connector is disconnected, the processing is conducted similarly as that of power failure.
