PURPOSE:To enhance developmeng characteristics, life, etc., by incorporating a specified polyamine in an electrostatic charge image developing toner as a charge controller. CONSTITUTION:An intended electrostatic charge image developing toner is obtained by preparing a polyamine compd. represented by formula I (each of R1- R4 is 1-6C alkyl; R5 is H, 1-5C alkyl; R6 is H, 1-12C alkylene, 3-12 alkenyl, or 7-12C aralkyl; A is 2-12C alkylene, 5-12 conductive substrate cycloalkylene, or the like; B is 2-12C alkylene, 6-18C arylene, or the like; and n is 2- 200), such as formula II or III; using this polyamine compd. as a charge controller; and incorporating it in a toner composed of a thermoplastic resin, such as polystyrene or a styrene-butyl acrylate copolymer, and a colorant, such as copper phthalocyanine in an amt. of 0.5-5wt%. |
