PURPOSE:To prevent influence on a human body by a method wherein a container is received with an inspection base and after it is turned sideways and upright, pollution of the surface thereof is detected with a smear device and then the smear head is replaced with a handling unit to secure the operation of detecting pollution of the surface. CONSTITUTION:When a radioactive container is received with an inspection base 6, radioactive pollutants are wiped out from the top of the radioactive container and the surface of the body thereof with devices 7 and 8. Then, after the container is turned by 90 deg. sideways, pollutants are wiped out from the surface of the bottom of the radioactive container with a device 9. Then, the radioactive container is delivered to the subsequent process. Subsequently, a smear head 29 of the device 8 is retracted and removed with a handling unit 10 to be carried out with a transport cart 12. A new smear head 29 is mounted to the device 8. Likewise, heads 29 and 32 are removed from the devices 7 and 9 and new ones 26 and 32 mounted thereto. The density of radioactive pollution is measured on the smear heads 26, 29 and 32 carried outside. |
