PURPOSE:To enhance the debugging efficiency of a computer system or a program by displaying principal information related to access through a latch circuit, etc. to find this information easily from the external. CONSTITUTION:When a host computer outputs a read command to a control part 7 of a magnetic disc device 1, a signal on a mode signal line 10 goes to locigal ''1'', and this signal is supplied to a head servo and data read/write circuit 6 and a latch circuit 16. Simultaneously, physical addresses such as a cylinder address, a head address, a sector address, etc. on an address bus 8 are supplied to the circuit 16. These signals are latched in the circuit 16 by a strobe signal which is outputted to a strobe signal line 17 each time when the host computer outputs the read command, and the read access state is displayed automatically on a display panel 14. Similar operations are executed in case of write; and thus, information related to access is found easily from the external without operations, and a magnetic disc device which improves the debugging efficiency of computer systems or programs is attained. |
