PURPOSE:To provide a sliding contact point material having excellent wear resistance and stable contact resistance by adding a specific amt. of Cd and at least one kind of Nb, In and Ba to Ag and substituting part of additive elements such as Nb with an Fe group element. CONSTITUTION:Cd is added at 1-15wt% to Ag and at least one kind of Nb, In and Ba is added at 0.5-10wt% thereto. Part of additive elements such as Nb, In, Ba are substed. with an Fe group element such as Fe, Ni, Co or the like in a 0.01-0.5wt% range. The wear resistance is improved by addition of Cd and the oxides of Nb, In and Ba generated during sliding by addition of said elements act as a lubricating agent. The finer crystal grains of the alloy are formed by addition of the Fe group element. The sliding contact member having excellent wear resistance and stable contact resistance is thus obtd. |
