<p>PURPOSE:To detect faults of peripheral circuits not only of a memory element by using the numerical value of each address of a memory as the data on each address for checking. CONSTITUTION:When a memory address (x) is designated by an address generator 11, the address information is turned into a data input of a memory 14. The value of the data input is set at (x). At the same time, the address information is turned into an address input of the memory 14 and the value of this data is set at (x). Therefore the data (x) is written to the address (x). Here a distributor 13 has a fault and the address (x) is turned into (t). In such a case, the data (x) is written to the memory address (t). Then the read data is turned into (x) when the contents of the address (t) are read out by a memory read signal (n). Then the read data (x) is supplied to a comparator 15. Furthermore the address information (t) is also supplied to the comparator 15 and therefore the data (x) is compared with the information (t). Thus an error signal (p) is obtained.</p> |
