PURPOSE:To accelerate a cycle time by setting a microprocessor, a RAM and a means which loads a microprogram given from outside in a power supply application mode to said RAM respectively on the same step. CONSTITUTION:An integrated circuit 100 is provided with a microprocessor 10, an internal ROM20 and an internal RAM30. An external ROM200 is connected to the circiut 100. When a power supply is applied, the processor 10 reads out the ROM20 and then reads out a microprogram out of the ROM200 according to the contents of the ROM20. This microprogram is loaded to the RAM30 and then the contents of the head address of the RAM30 are executed as a microprogram. Thus the access time of the RAM30 is accelerated although the ROM200 has a slow access time. In such a way, the cycle time can be accelerated.
