PURPOSE:To give a toughness and a malleability to a sintered abrasive molded body so that the latter has a required strength, by mixing a tin-copper group metal powder containing phosphorus with an abrasive and by heating and sintering the thus obtained mixture. CONSTITUTION:0.5wt% of 10-20mum particle size diamond powder to which nonelectrolytic nickel-plating (55wt% of plating) is subjected, is mixed in a metal powder obtained by blending a more than 100 mesh-size atomized bronze powder (containing 15wt% of tin) with a less than 100 mesh-size atomized bronze powder (containing 8wt% of phosphorus) at a ratio 5:2 by weight part, and the thus obtained mixture is charged in a mold to be sintered for 45min. under a hydrogen gas atmosphere in the condition of 45g/cm<2> at a temperature of 650+ or -15 deg.C, thereby a sintered body having predetermined dimentions is obtained. The thus obtained sintered body is rolled to obtain an abrasive molded body having a predetermined shape. At this stage the content rate of phosphorus is adjusted to 0.74wt%, with which phosphor-bronze is formed in the sintered body so that a toughness and a malleability are given to a metal as a bond, that is, the sintered body, thereby the latter may have a required strength. |
