PURPOSE:To provide a refrigerant which increases heat efficiency of a regenerator, prepd. by blending a host consisting of water, a guest consisting of fluorocarbon or hydrocarbon and a temp. rise promoter for formation and decomposition of clathrate. CONSTITUTION:A regenerator 1 is filled with a refrigerant 2 which consists of a mixed soln. of clathrate, water and fluorocarbon (Freon) and a temp. rise promoter for formation and decomposition of clathrate (e.g. tetraethylene glycol dimethyl ether, dimethyl formamide or decaline used in an amt. of 1-40g/100cc water). The clathrate consists of water as host and fluorocarbon (Freon) as guest. The regenerator 1 is connected to a refrigerator 4 by a cooling medium path 3 for supply of Freon gas 5 into the regenerator 1 when gas clathrate is formed and for discharge of Freon gas 5 when gas clathrate is decomposed. Temps. of clathrate formation and decomposition are raised to increase heat efficiency. |
