发明名称 POWER TRANSMISSION UNIT PROVIDED WITH TWO PHASE TORQUE CONVERTER
摘要 PURPOSE:To aim at enhancing the performance of engine brake and as well to prevent variations in vehicle speed, by providing a brake having a first stator which may be fixed, and a clutch which isolates a stator from an output shaft when the brake is released. CONSTITUTION:A first stator 34 and a second stator 35 are coaxially arranged between an impeller 32 and a turbine 33. Further, the inner peripheral part of the first stator 34 is coupled with a cylindrical shaft 41 concentrically arranged on the outer peripheral surface of the shaft 37, and the cylindrical shaft 41 may be coupled at its rear end with a cylindrical shaft 43 through an one-way clutch 42. A brake disc 48 fitted onto the outer peripheral part of the cylindrical shaft 41 may be locked and released by a brake 49. With this arrangement, the performance of engine brake may be enhanced while variations in vehicle speed may be prevented, and further, a higher torque ratio may be prevented.
