PURPOSE:To prevent the breakage of a transmission gear mechanism at the time of erroneous operation by adding an erroneous operation preventing function to an electronically controlling device which gives a command to an electric and hydraulic control device which controls oil pressure fed to a clutch. CONSTITUTION:A forwarding and backing signal detecting means detects that a shift position is in the forwarding position or in the backing position. A preceding forwarding and backing signal memory means stores a forwarding or backing signal in the preceding routine. A neutral commanding means outputs a signal for commanding that, when a forwarding or backing signal in the preceding routine does not agree with that in the present routine, a forwarding and backing changeover mechanism (a forwarding clutch, a backing clutch, etc.) be made neutral. Due to the above mentioned construction, a transmission gear can be securely protected in case of erroneous operation, eliminating the need for using an inhibitor valve, a Pitot tube, etc. |
