3-Mercapto-1,2,4-triazacycloalkadiene derivatives of the formula I <IMAGE> in which the radicals R1 and R2 independently of one another denote aryl which is unsubstituted or substituted by aliphatic hydrocarbon radicals, free, etherified or esterified hydroxyl, optionally S- oxidised etherified mercapto, free or aliphatically substituted amino, nitro and/or trifluoromethyl or denote optionally N-oxidised heteroaryl radicals, n represents 0, 1 or 2 and R3 denotes an aliphatic hydrocarbon radical substituted by an optionally esterified or amidated carboxyl group, cyano or, in higher than the alpha -position, by one or two optionally esterified or etherified hydroxyl group(s), one or two etherified mercapto group(s), an oxidised mercapto group or an oxo group, and their salts have analgesic properties and can be used as medicaments for the treatment of painful inflammatory diseases. They are prepared by eliminating HY from a compound of the formula <IMAGE> in which one of the radicals Y1 and Y2 denotes a radical Y which can be eliminated and the other denotes a hydrogen atom and Y3 and Y4 together represent an additional bond, or in which Y4 denotes a radical Y which can be eliminated and Y3 denotes hydrogen and Y1 and Y2 represent an additional bond, or from a salt thereof with the introduction of an additional bond. |
