<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a cryostat, by which a cryogenic apparatus is efficiently refrigerated, by a method wherein guide plates, end edges of which are directing to the direction of the cryogenic apparatus and close to the cryogenic apparatus, are attached to the heat exchanger or provided in the vicinity of the heat exchanger. CONSTITUTION:In this cryostat, when the pre-refrigerating operation of the heat exchanger 7 is started, the guide plates 8 are cooled first up to the lower end edges thereof by thermal conduction in a short time. As the superconductive coils 5 and the guide plates 8 have been held at a comparatively short distance, an active convection is easily performed by temperature difference between both 5 and 7. The heat transmitted to the ends of the guide plates 8 in such a way is transmitted to the exchanger 7 by thermal conduction and the superconductive coils 5 are efficiently refrigerated. Moreover, the heat of the superconductive coils 5 is shifted to the heat exchanger 7 with the convection by the action of the guide plates 8 without diffusing and the superconductive coils 5 are further refrigerated efficiently.</p> |
