PURPOSE:To simplify control of a node station having a gateway mechanism and make it possible that this station has the same constitution as the other stations and is installed in the same position as them, by unifying an address system in the whole of plural loops and providing a special bit. CONSTITUTION:The first bit 603 of a destination address part 202 is set to ''1'' or ''0'' to indicate the outside or the inside of a loop respectively. When an optical input signal 701 is inputted to a node station (NS) with the gateway function shown in the figure, an address part and a control part are decoded by an address decoder 704 and a control part decoder 705. If a bit 603 of the address part is ''1'', a conductor 751 is energized, and the control part is led to a control part 706. If said bit 603 is ''0'', the control part is transferred to a register 709 through a gate 707a and is transferred to an optical bus 752 through an electro- photo transducer 710 by the control of the control part 706. If said bit is ''1'', the control part is led to a register 718 through a gate 719. The signal from the other optical loop 711 is processed similarly. |
