PURPOSE:To provide the title electrodeposition coating consisting of a cationic binder resin, water and a specified organic solvent, which forms a coating film on an electrically conductive substrate in a short time and at a low voltage by cationic electrodeposition coating process. CONSTITUTION:The electrodeposition coating is prepared by blending an aqueous soln. obtained by neutralizing at least one cationic binder resin (e.g. acrylic resin) with an acid (e.g. acetic acid) and dissolving it in water, with an organic solvent obtained by mixing at least one selected from among ethylene glycol monohexyl ether, diethylene glycol monobutyl ether and 2-ethyl-hexyl alcohol and ethylene glycol monobutyl ether in a blend ratio of 1:1 which is used in 5-15wt.% of solids of the coating and by adding a crosslinking resin, pigment and additives, as nscessary.
