PURPOSE:To improve the positioning precision of said device for an automated warehouse with compartment shelves by using such a formation as detecting location markers attached to respective shelves by means of a sensor on the crane so as to make correct positioning. CONSTITUTION:A shelf address is designated and inputted into a crane controller 16, which retrieves the designated address, instructs the lift 3 to elevate, detects count markers 14 with a count sensor 8, counts the number of markers until it reaches the shelf address targeted, and stops. Then it commands a crane 2 to traverse, detects and counts the number of count markers 12 with a sensor 13 to retrieve the horizontal address. After that, it locates the stop marker 21 on the designated shelf address on CRT28, stops the crane 2 guided by a cursor line, and makes fine adjustment so as a marker 21 to locate in the designated window. This constitution improves the positioning precision. |
