PURPOSE:To reduce construction cost, by a method wherein a mucking conveying device is mounted to the lower part of a hopper located in a material lock, a winder is hung down from a movable travelling device, and an earth bucket is hung down from the winder. CONSTITUTION:With a winder 13 operated, a clamshell bucket 14 is hung down to a working chamber 2 to load muck, after which the bucket 14 is hoisted up to the upper limit position of a mucking lock 10. With a traveling device 12 driven, the bucket 14 is horizontally moved along a rail 18 and is brought to a stop in a position above the hopper 19, the bucket 14 is opened to charge muck into the hopper 19. Subsequent to driving of a rotary valve 22 and opening of a slide gate 21, a screw conveyor 20 is operated, the muck is continuously discharged, and is thrown into an earth hopper 7 through a belt conveyor 23 to be stored therein. |
