A combustible gas-fuel mixture is supplied to a blast furnace under a fixed volumetric ratio of the two components. Temperature and pressure of the primary gas, containing oxygen, and the secondary gas, containing hydrocarbons such as natural gas, methane, propane, or butane, are maintained to be equal before mixing in the mixing vlave ensuring a constant mass ratio in the case of fluctuations in temperature or pressure between the two fluid components.
