发明名称 METHOD OF MACHINING ROOTS TYPE ROTOR
摘要 PURPOSE:To finish a rotor having a rugged curved surface on its outer periphery efficiently and with high dimensional accuracy by forming a material to be machined roughly into the shape of a rotor and then grinding it. CONSTITUTION:A workpiece 30 is reciprocated in the axial direction, while the workpiece 30 and a grinding tool 66 are rotated at the same angular speed, and in the opposite directions to, and being engaged with, each other, enabling nearly uniform grinding over the whole outer periphery of the workpiece 30 as well as an efficient grinding. Also, since a shaft part 32 and a shaft 64 are supported, at their both ends, by slides 28 and 52 respectively, the axes of these shaft will not incline, enabling grinding with high accuracy. Therefore, when the workpiece 30 is formed into a rough shape of a rotor by means of cutting, it is not necessary to control the dimensional accuracy so strictly, enabling a rotor to be manufactured at a low cost.
