PURPOSE:To purify and separate the active component of basidiomycete, by culturing basidiomycete on the outer wall surface of a hollow fiber in a vessel, and at the same time, circulating aseptic water in the holow of the fiber and introducing the soluble extracting liquid to the outer wall of the hollow fiber, thereby extracting the active component of cultured basidiomycete through the wall of the hollow fiber to the aseptic water in the hollow fiber. CONSTITUTION:The solid or pasty medium containing basidiomycete is aseptically applied to the outer wall surface of sterillized hollow fiber, and at the same time, air is introduced and circulated aseptically. Separately, sterilized water is circulated through the hollow of the hollow fiber, and is made to contact with the basidiomycete via the wall of the hollow fiber and to culture the basidiomycete on the outer wall surface of the hollow fiber. The hollow fiber is put into a vessel. The ratio of the cross-section of the wall and the hollow part of the hollow fiber to that of the vessel is made to be <=70%. When the basidiomycete is proliferated, an edible extracting liquid is introduced to the outer wall surface of the hollow fiber to purify and separate the active component of basidiomycete through the wall of the hollow fiber to the aseptic water in the hollow part of the fiber.
