PURPOSE:To fix tightly both members to each other by fitting annular projections formed on a thin-sheet member to annular grooves formed in the end face of a thick-sheet member and plastically press-deforming a central projection formed by the annular grooves. CONSTITUTION:Annular grooves 1c perpendicular to the end face of a thick- sheet member 1 are previously formed in said face by plastically pressing work. A central projection 1d is simultaneously formed in one body by said work. On the other hand, annular projections 2b having each a stepped part 2a at its front- end inner-diameter part, are formed at the base part of a thin-sheet member 2 by burring work. Next, after fitting the projections 2b to the grooves 1c, the head face of central projection 1d is pressed by a die. Then the projection 1d is plastically deformed so as to fill up the gaps between it and the projections 2b, and is joined locally and tightly to the circumferences of stepped parts 2a. |
